March 13: Calaveras Winegrape and Gourmet. Experience award winning Calaveras wines paired with gourmet culinary creations, wine industry exhibits and creative wine country wares, plus culinary and viticulture seminars. The event is from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
March 6 - 9: Spring Obsession at Ironstone. Obsess about the coming of spring, and celebrate our most popular white wine: Symphony "Obsession." Art, daffodils (over 500,000!), fabulous food and a unique wine will fill the days of this 12th annual celebration.
March 12-13-14: Sonora Celtic Faire, 23nd Annual!! The Faire has moved from the Calaveras Fairgrounds, Angels Camp to the Sonora Fairgrounds, about a 15-minute drive from the old location. March 20: Murphys Irish Days. Celebrates Murphys' Irish heritage and beckons visitors and locals alike on the Saturday of St. Patty's with Irish musicians and dancers, authentic Irish fare and wares, carriage rides, crafts booths, dancing in the streets, storytelling and a raffle with a trip to Ireland as grand prize. At 11 a.m. a parade featuring bagpipes, bands, marching groups, animals, classic cars and a ten-foot-tall Scotsman will make its way down Main Street.

March 27: 2009 Gem & Mineral Show. Calaveras Fairgrounds, Angels Camp. World class dealers will offer great values on top quality gems, minerals, jewelry, beads, fossils, petrified wood, lapidary material and equipment, books and supplies.
March 27: Columbia Day Celebration. A birthday celebration of the day Johnny Walker of the famed Hildreth Party discovered gold and brought life to the area, which started the town of Columbia.
March 28: Sushi Rolls. Sushi masters are considered artists in the medium of food. This is not you! You are not a master and this class won't get you much closer, but it will be fun! This is a basic sushi rolling class. Learn about how to make your rice, nori, and the ingredients to make your rolls delightful!
