September 2:  Bear Valley Triathlon.  19th Annual!  What a way to spend Sunday! Nestled in a beautiful Sierra location, the course is hilly but incredibly scenic. Truly a fun and fast Triathlon. Water temperature will be approximately 70 (+2); wet suits allowed but are not necessary. Air temperature will be 70. The bike is a rolling, climbing loop course. The run is rolling road.

September 15 – 16: THE ANNUAL QUILT AND THREAD SHOW. Presented by the Sierra Quilt Guide at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. Call (209) 532-7521.

September 22:  THE ANNUAL SIERRA APPLE FESTIVAL. At the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. This event is old-fashion family fun, with activities and surprises for everyone. From pie eating contests to apple peeling. Plus demonstration on apple cider pressing, constructing and apple pie plus so much more. Call (209) 201-6436. 

September 22:  CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE - "A Celebration of Automotive History".  Becoming a renowned event for classic automotive enthusiasts, the Concours d'Elegance features over 300 classic automobiles in the beautiful setting of Ironstone Vineyards.

 

September 29:  Poison Oak Show.   Columbia.  Aren't you just itchin' to participate? This event is like a traditional flower show, except, all entries must include poison oak!
